Shake, Laugh, Sigh: Techniques to Release Tension

We can tell our bodies to relax, but if they’re stuck in a stress-rut, they don’t know how.  In the first half of this online workshop, we’ll explore movement techniques to reset the nervous system.  In the second half, we’ll practice deep relaxation by tuning into the messages of our bodies and creating full-body breathing.

The most potent breathing practice available may not be the layering on of a technique but the medicine of ‘less’ – the release of your habitual patterns of holding that restrict the movement of your respiration. Our optimal breath results from deep relaxation, not effort.  Come give yourself the gift of your own attention and awareness and rediscover your natural breath.
